Jazz at the Movies

Regulars at The Apex with their Swinging Christmas show, Jazz at the Movies will appear at the Hunter Club, St Andrews Street South, Bury St Edmunds on Friday, September 9 as part of a tour supporting their new CD release Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

Jazz at the Movies is a unique jazz group interpreting movie themes and soundtrack songs from classic films including The Pink Panther, Gilda, Kiss Me Deadly, From Russia With Love, The Servant, One Touch Of Venus, The Fabulous Baker Boys, and many more.

Rich with droll anecdote, song and swing, JATM have become a regular sell-out at Ronnie Scott’s, St James Theatre, the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room and many jazz clubs, theatres and Arts Centres throughout the UK.

JATM features evocative vocals by long-time teacher/mentor of pop superstar Sam Smith and acclaimed singer Joanna Eden (The UK’s answer to Norah Jones and Diana Krall’ Time Out), bewitching saxophone and clarinet from Mark Crooks (John Wilson Orchestra) and atmospheric textures and grooves from Chris Ingham (piano/MC), Rev Andrew Brown(bass) and George Double (drums).

Tickets and reservable seats are available at www.headhunterslive.org and 07799650009.
