British Blues Awards Female Vocalist of the Year, Jo Harman, will be performing at The Apex on Thursday, February 25 at 8pm.

Described by the Daily Mirror as ‘the finest female soul blues singer in the UK’ Jo’s 2013 debut album Dirt on My Tongue received remarkable critical acclaim.

Recently, Radio 2 broadcaster Huey Morgan said of the singer: “Sometimes you hear a singer who leaves you speechless - I am.”

Now with three major label deals to her name, Jo’s profile continues to grow internationally.

She was recently one of 12 (otherwise household names) to perform to over 300,000 people at Parkpop in The Hague.

In summer 2014 Jo released a new album Jo Harman and Company - Live at the Royal Albert Hall, recorded by the BBC.

She and her band received four nominations at the British Blues Awards, winning the Best Singer category and being named runner-up in the Best Songwriting section.

October 2015 saw the release of studio EP Found A Place in advance of travelling to Nashville to record a second studio album due for

release in March 2016.
