IT WILL be all hands to the pump at Friars Street this Saturday, as Sudbury Cricket Club prepare the ground for the new season.

Volunteers are being asked to come along from 10am to help put up the scoreboard, prepare the nets, clean the site screens, weed, and help with anything else that needs doing as part of the ECB-backed NatWest CricketForce volunteer spring clean.

It is not long until the season gets under way, with Sudbury hosting Haverhill for a warm-up friendly the following Saturday, with their East Anglian Premier League campaign starting with a home fixture against Saffron Walden on April 21.
