Sudbury are top club
Sudbury Rowing Club’s juniors had some excellent results at the Ball Cup regatta on Sunday at Eton Dorney, the venue for the London 2012 Olympics.
Sudbury were well represented, with 11 crews all looking for good results to reward their hard work and dedication through the winter.
The club’s seven finalists all won gold medals, and this earned the Victor Ludorum for the most successful club of the event.
The winners were: Nick Scott, J16 1x and J17 1x (single scull); Ellie Adams, WJ17 1x (women’s single scull); Tom Bowles, J18 1x (single scull); Tom Bowles and George Cook, J18 2x (double scull); Zoe McGee, Molly Shaw, Amy Bowles, Ellie Adams, Lucy Keedy-Davies (cox), Girls’ 4+ (coxed four); Kieran Dibley, Jack Mcloughlin, George Cook, Alex Blackman, Sophie Masetti (cox), Boys’ 4+ (coxed four).
