Sudbury Karate Club held its club grading for students from White belt up to 3rd Kyu Brown/White stripe belt on Sunday, the grading taking place in front of a panel of seven black belts, including SEFKA (South East Freestyle Karate Association) chairman and chief instructor Trevor White (7th dan).

In a well attended grading students were tested on basic blocks, punching and kicks, combinations and Kata (forms), in what proved to be an excellent standard of karate. Sensei White was impressed with the students’ effort, dedication and techniques.

To 9th Kyu Yellow belt: Anya George, Belinda Starrie, Oliver Sanderson, Katy Appleby, Hannah Appleby, Caleb Ayers, Edward Howe, Marshall Rowland, Sonny Marsh, Zach Glanz, Emma Harris, Finley Hulbert, Olivia Roberts. To 8th Kyu Orange belt: Charlie Fitch.

To 7th Kyu Green Stripe belt: Adam Tyler, Abbie Harper-Rowe, Luke Metson, Harriet Harper-Rowe, Jameson Reynolds.

To 6th Kyu Green belt: Antonia Everett, Nuria Everett, Jasmine Howard, Harrison George, Jennifer McBride, Julie George.

To 4th Kyu Blue belt: Jessica Beetles, Megan Wallace.

To 3rd Kyu Brown Stripe belt: Jonathan Willis, Mark Lano, Charlotte Harding.
