Stoke-by-Clare take the honours

Stoke-by-Clare proved victorious as five clubs competed in the Cavendish Bowls Club Invitation Competition.

Each club fielded three teams of mixed triples and the event was run on a round robin basis playing seven ends per game with a grand final to finish.

Clubs taking part this year were Cavendish, Sudbury, Stoke-by-Clare, Castle Camps, and Birdbrook.

Sudbury missed out by one point to get into the final which was contested by Cavendish and Stoke-by-Clare.

The final was one game of eight ends and Stoke-by-Clare kept their unbroken record intact after winning on all three rinks with a combined score of 23-15 taking victory to lift the cup.
