Norwich City fan Edward Seaman says: Starting Wes and Tettey will get us winning again

I have been trying to think of a way to sum up the final few minutes at Huddersfield on Tuesday night but it is hard to describe it any other way than bonkers.

Despite Jamar Loza’s dramatic late equaliser, the overriding feeling was disappointment.

Although at the final whistle it felt like a point gained, looking back even now, it is two points dropped against a side we need to be beating and performing much better against.

For me the match showed a couple of thing, the most important being Wes Hoolahan and Alex Tettey need to start as often as possible.

Wes is by no means a spring chicken anymore and we know about Tettey’s knee problems but with the amount of possession City had (62 percent), Wes is clearly the man to produce something, as was seen with his goal.

The goal takes his tally to three goals and nine assists in 28 league appearances (19 starts), figures that means we simply cannot leave him out.

As with Tettey, I don’t think it is any coincidence that the games we have failed to get a grip on recently, Blackburn, Wigan and now Huddersfield have coincided with the Norwegian not starting.

The other was that Russell Martin needs to step up his game, especially with Ryan Bennett returning to fitness.

Martin’s defending was poor, although I disagree with those who say he should be dropped on the back of one bad performance.

The draw was City’s second in a row and that is something we need to put right against an improved Forest side tomorrow, and I expect all Wes, Tettey and Martin to all start.

What I will say on the Derby game is that I thought City performed at a higher level and were unlucky with the equaliser which for me, was a foul on John Ruddy.

Four dropped points does leave City five points adrift of the top of the table, but lets not get too carried away.

We’ve got the ability to get back to winning ways and I fully expect us to do so.
