Nicoll passes his tough test

The South East Freestyle Karate Association (SEFKA) held its senior grading for brown and black belts at Great Cornard Sports Centre on Sunday.

The grading panel consisted of 11 senior black belts from the association, including SEFKA chairman and chief instructor Trevor White (7th Dan).

Students faced a tough examination of advanced Kihon (basics), multiple kicking techniques, combinations, Kata (forms) and multiple attacker kumite (sparring). At the end Sensei White awarded the 2nd Dan black belt grade to James Nicoll.
