On a superbly prepared track, Halstead & DMCC held their final meeting of their 2013 motocross season at Little Loveney Hall, Wakes Colne.
The meeting contained the final round of the Maxxis British Side Car Cross Championship with supporting solos.
The sidecar results were very much as expected, with reigning British champions, Stuart Brown and Josh Chamberlain, stars of the day, with three straight wins taking the overall result.
By taking enough points with the wins from second-placed sidecar crew, Brett Wilkinson/Craig Parmenter, they cannot be beaten to the 2013 title, which they have won for the 11th time.
In the Solo Supporting Group A, two wins and a third were enough to give Brad Tomlin the overall win.
In Group B, Joe MacDonald took the overall win with three consistent race results.
There was no doubt about the winner of the NGR Championship, with three wins from three races for John Hinz.
During the interval, a cheque was presented to Mike Johnson of the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, by Andrew Hay, on behalf of ACU Eastern Centre.
n The 2013 Eastern Centre Bickers Lifting Motocross Championships final round was held at Wattisfield Hall, organised by Diss MCC.
Halsead & DMCC riders were in top form in both the Experts and Juniors.
In the Expert Championship, Brad Tomlin and Jason Morland featured in the results in all three of their races.
Tomlin took third overall on the day, with Morland fourth overall.
Chris Bastick was second overall on the day while Brendon Mayers — back after injury — was outside the top 10 overall.
In the Junior Championships, Mark Sharman took fifth place overall, John Hinz was eighth overall.
In Group B, Steve Cadd was third overall and Jack Griffiths seventh overall.
In the Red Bull Pro Nationals Final Round, Lewis Tombs finished his Red Bull MX2 season with a brilliant third overall, his highest overall finish of 2013.
After the final round, Tombs moved up from sixth to fourth in the series standings.
