Sudbury masters and senior swimmers began the season in grand style – scooping 20 golds, 10 silvers and 17 bronze medals at their recent meet.

On a day which also saw a British record broken by Alan Jackson, from East Anglian Swallow Tails in Norfolk – swimming the 100-metre individual medley in the over-75 age group, Sudbury also shone on the medal podium on February 16.

There were personal best times from Sarah Clarke, Sarah Farley, Sue Moye, Suzanne Frost, Stuart Beal-Collins, Aaron Noble, Ben Boxall, Conor Hume, Sophia Bingham, Ryan Alexander and Danielle Gruman.

The competition also incorporated the Suffolk Championships, which most of Sudbury’s swimmers were also medallists in.

The club now wishes all their senior swimmers all the best as they go into the Suffolk Championships, starting in March.
