Sudbury Town darts team earned the local bragging rights following a comprehensive 7-1 away win at rivals Hadleigh in the Suffolk Super League.

Martin Totman (23.77 ave) got Sudbury off to the perfect start with a 3-2 win over Stuart Bull (22.08 ave), and the lead was extended as Jason Stalker (23.39 ave) beat Tom King (19.88 ave) 3-1.

Man-of-the-match Andy Batih (25.91 ave) beat Simon Farthing (19.26 ave) 3-0, and Sudbury were 4-0 ahead when Ian Randles (25.27 ave & 180) beat Paul Woods (21.50 ave) 3-1.

Steve Balls (19.68 ave) won 3-2 in a very tight game with Colin Hynard (20.51 ave), before Mark Theobald (19.10 ave & 180) made it 6-0 with a 3-1 victory over Stuart King (18.94 ave).

Dan Tatum (22.04 ave) kept Sudbury’s dream night going with a 3-1 win against Glenn Bentley (19.44 ave).

Hadleigh grabbed a consolation point as John Attwater (25.76 ave) hit two 180s, but was edged out 3-2 by Curtis Hammond (24.43 ave) in a brilliant game to end the evening.

n Hammond was in action at the Coral UK Open Qualifiers in Wigan earlier this month, but he was unsuccessful in his bid to qualify for the televised finals, picking up just £250 over the six qualifiers.
