Sudbury Bowls Club continued their winning streak with a 63-30 win over Radwinter in the Steeple Bumpstead League.
Allen Monkman, Richard Long and Peter Hanscombe were 20-10 winners on rink six, while Paul Wood, Susan Monkman and Sue Baker were 21-11 winners on their rink.
Terry and Pauline Parsons partnered up with Colin Clarke to win their rink 22-9.
n Boxford Bowls Club continued its recent run of successes against Sudbury when the two club’s A teams met in the Suffolk Bowls England Triples.
Andy Barnes captained the Boxford side which won on three of the rinks and drew on the other, finishing with a 100-62 victory and taking five-and-a-half points home.
Boxford’s A team had a close game against Castle Hedingham last Thursday which they won 72-64.
Les Clark was in charge of the team, who won on two of the three rinks to pick up four points.
Elsewhere, Boxford’s B team lost a hard-fought match 71-42 against Birdbrook in Federation League Three last week.
The club has continued with its successful coaching days for new bowlers, which have been held every Saturday throughout May.
Last Saturday was their fourth session and 24 new bowlers attended on a lovely, late May morning.
Boxford have decided that due to the encouraging response to the coaching offer, it will continue to run the training sessions throughout June.
