Lavenham Legion B were crowned winners of the 12-minute competition after overcoming Earls Colne B in an entertaining final at Sudbury Snooker Club.
The highlight of the evening was a top-class 105 break from the Legion’s Jon Wright, which drew applause from all who were there to witness it.
The Legion had trailed by 30 points after the first five matches of the final.
Wright himself had been heavily beaten in his first game by an inspired display from Aiden Kench.
However, helped largely by Wright’s break and a good win from Dave Mortier over Andy Shelton, they completely overturned things in the second five matches to end up winners by 82 points.
Mortier was the only player to remain unbeaten throughout the entire evening.
Earlier in the evening, the Legion had overcome their A side in the semi-final while Earls Colne B had also seen off the challenge of their A side in the other semi-final.
All teams are reminded the annual presentation/11up evening will take place next Thursday (June 27) at Sudbury Snooker Club with a 7.45pm start.
