Sudbury boxer Jack Wiffen won his first Eastern Counties title at the weekend in the England Schoolboy Championships at Wisbech. Suffolk champion Wiffen stopped Essex champion William Dragisic of Holland Shore ABC in the second round.

Boxing in the Class A (born 2002) under-40kg category, Wiffen looked to impose himself on Dragisic by attacking quickly, with straight shots pushing his opponent on to the back foot. Wiffen landed some solid punches, Dragisic taking a standing eight count midway through the round.

In the second round Wiffen found his range again and started to catch Dragisic with straight one-twos before moving out of range and not allowing Dragisic to fire back.

Midway through the round Wiffen caught his opponent with a
solid punch and the
referee stepped in to call a halt to the match.
