Four Sudbury Masters and one Senior swam their first competition of the year — the South East Region Long Course at K2 Crawley.
Chris Greenhalgh swam six events — 200m, 400m, 800m freestyle, 200m breaststroke, 400m individual medley (IM) and 200m butterfly — and won all his events, picking up six gold medals and claiming five East Region records in the 18-24 year age group.
Sarah Clarke swam 50m fly, 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke, 200m fly, 200m IM, 200m breaststroke and 400m IM.
Despite having had a few injury problems of late, she won one gold, two silver and two bronze medals, and claimed two East region records in 24-29 age group.
Stuart McLellan swam a good mixture of events — 50m fly, 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 200m IM, 400m IM, 400m freestyle, and 800m freestyle. He won two gold, three silver and one bronze medal.
Terry Mansi swam all the freestyle events and was placed fourth and fifth in his age group.
Sharon McLellan competed in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m freestyle and 200m backstroke and finished with a silver medal in 800m freestyle.
The next competition is at the Kingfisher Leisure pool on Sunday, the Valentine meet.
