Sudbury 3

Two second-half goals at Potters Bar saw Sudbury record their fifth straight win to maintain the pressure on league leaders Crostyx.

Sudbury started the first half strongly and went ahead through captain Abbi Taylor, who fired in via a deflection from a short corner. However, Potters Bar struck back to level ahead of the turnaround.

The second half saw Sudbury defend solidly to stop the ball entering the D and saving short corners.

Potters Bar kept pressing but Katie Clark, Emma Stephens and Mandy Coleman stayed strong and joint players-of-the match Becky Spencer and Gemma Jones kept pushing forward, putting the pressure on and intercepting balls.

Sudbury regained control, attacking aggressively and ensuring a victory as Chloe Hunnable scored from a powerful reverse stick and shortly after so did Taylor, sending the ball over the keeper’s head for her second of the match.
