Stoke Lion took over top spot in the Border Invitation League following a close 8-7 win over the Long Melford Working Men’s Club, who had held the spot for five weeks.

After losing their last four matches in double figures, the Cherry Tree reversed the trend, winning their second game of the season 10-4 at the Cavendish Bull.
Also winning their second game, Cavendish Five Bells gained three points at Glemsford Club with a narrow 8-7 victory.
Clare Bell’s visit to Black Lion B gave them four points winning two of the three tables, which all had 3-2 results.
