Horringer (in dark blue kits) went behind after failing to defend a corner but Max Willsher restored parity just before half-time with a powerful strike that flew into the net.

And controversy reigned when they were denied taking the lead for the referee to pull back play for a Lavenham foul, with the ball with Horringer’s Reece Clark in front of an empty net.

To Horringer’s horror, a pair of late set-pieces saw Lavenham take the tie away from them to set up a final with the winners of the tie between Haverhill Borough and Elmsett, which had to be postponed on Sunday due to a water-logged pitch. The rearranged tie is set to be played on March 19 (10.30am) at Long Melford FC.
