VIDEO: Alan Lee on Ipswich Town players’ visit to west Suffolk

Ipswich Town player/coach Alan Lee spoke to deputy sports editor Russell Claydon about the club’s fans’ night at Bury Town on Tuesday.

The former Republic of Ireland international, who now lives in Hartest after returning to the Blues in the summer, initially as a youth coach, praised the turnout at Bury Town’s clubhouse.

Around 100 people packed into the Ram Meadow bar to join in an evening with Lee and fellow teammates, and first-team regulars, Christophe Berra and Paul Anderson, which raised money for the club’s academy.

Bury St Edmunds, Long Melford, Newmarket and Ipswich branches of the official Ipswich Town Supporters’ Club were all represented on a night hosted by former Bury Town and Ipswich player Simon Milton.
