AFC Sudbury were edged out of their third qualifying round replay with Skrill Conference South outfit Tonbridge Angels to exit the FA Trophy last night.

David Batch’s side — who bridged the two-division gap between the sides by forcing a replay with a late strike from James Baker on Saturday — were unable to repeat their weekend heroics with the Angels’ Ryan Watts netting the only goal of the game just shy of the hour-mark.

Meanwhile, Hadleigh United exited the Suffolk Premier Cup at the quarter-final stage to Needham Market after going down 3-0 and Halstead Town crashed out of the Thurlow Nunn League First Division Knockout Cup, 1-0 to Braintree Town Reserves.
