Sudbury suffer heavy defeat at league leaders

AFC Sudbury slipped to their third successive league defeat on Wednesday night, as they lost 4-0 at league leaders Grays Athletic.

Missing James Baker (hamstring), Michael Shinn (suspension) and Jemel Fox (suspension), AFC went into the break 1-0 down to a spectacular strike.

The second half saw three further goals with AFC unable to reply themselves, leaving them languishing in 17th position in the Ryman League Division One North table.

Sudbury have a break from league action this weekend when they take on Leiston in the FA Cup first qualifying round.

•Hadleigh United lost 2-0 at Stanway Rovers, leaving Stuart Crawford’s side 14th in the Ridgeons League Premier Division.
