CAVENDISH’S Josh Meekings has put pen to paper on a two-year deal at SPL club Inverness Caledonian Thistle after impressing boss Terry Butcher.
The 18-year-old’s signing, along with fellow trialist Andrew Shinnie, who was released from Glasgow Rangers, was announced on Tuesday.
Meekings, a former Haverhill schoolboy born in Bury St Edmunds, can now see his dream of running out at a packed Celtic Park or Ibrox become a reality.
Butcher, who was recommended released Ipswich Academy captain Meekings by under-18s manager and former team-mate Russell Osman, told his club’s website: “Both have been training with us and have made an excellent impression in our pre-season friendlies.
“I have made offers and both have accepted and the paperwork should be completed in the next dew days.”
