Hadleigh United’s rescheduled trip to west Yorkshire to face AFC Emley in the fourth round of the FA Vase is one of a number of games to succumb early to the icy weather.
AFC Sudbury will have to wait on the outcome of a 9.30am pitch inspection to see whether their game at 12th-placed Romford (3pm) will go ahead as the cold snap continues to play havoc with the sporting calendar.
Long Melford’s home game with Downham Town is also subject to a pitch inspection, though it will be dependent on whether more snow falls over Friday night and if the pitch fails to thaw out sufficiently Saturday morning.
But fellow Thurlow Nunn First Division side Halstead Town’s home game with Stowmarket Town is no longer listed on the Thurlow Nunn League’s website, suggesting it is off, though the club are yet to confirm that.
Cornard United definitely won’t be playing, after their scheduled game at Newmarket Town was postponed early on Friday.
Sudbury Rugby Club are due to play at Old Brentwoods tomorrow (2pm).
Games still ON as of 2:15pm Friday:
Romford v AFC Sudbury (pitch inspection 9.30am)
Long Melford v Downham Town
Romford RFC v Sudbury
Games definitely OFF:
AFC Emley v Hadleigh United (rescheduled for February 2)
Newmarket Town v Cornard United
