Crowds flocked to the fifth two-day KBB Suffolk FA Grassroots Festival, held at the Gainsborough Sports Centre in Ipswich.
The festival, which saw 140 teams take part on Saturday and Sunday, had a Premier League theme as it coincided with the end of the 2014-15 Barclays Premier League season.
Suffolk FA football development manager Nathan French, who organised the festival, said: “Our fifth Grassroots Festival has been a huge success. It has been another fantastic festival.
“I would just like to thank all the teams, both boys’ and girls’, coaches, referees, parents and Suffolk FA staff for making the event such a success.
“The reason we run our Grassroots Festival is to create a positive match-day environment and give everyone the best football experience possible.”
nLong Melford Colts and Cornard Dynamos are two of seven clubs across Suffolk set to benefit from the Football Foundations’ Grow the Game grants. A total of £16,500 will be going to developing new teams across the seven clubs.
Nathan French said: “I am delighted that all of our clubs who applied for the Grow the Game grant have been successful with their applications.
“This is a substantial amount of money going back into Suffolk football.”
