Leon Antoine struck the only goal of the game as AFC Sudbury moved into the top 10 of Ryman One North last night.

The Yellows, managed by Chris Tracey, pictured, edged victory in their clash with Waltham Forest at The MEL Group Stadium.

Midfielder Lee Townrow, having re-signed for the club from Stanway Rovers, made his return when he came off the bench in the 66th minute.

In the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division, Hadleigh United overcame a fright at bottom club FC Clacton to move within eight points of the top of the division.

The Brettsiders appeared to be in a spot of bother when Aaron Condon’s brilliant strike cancelled out Jerrell Layne’s opener.

However, Ollie Canfer put United back in front in the 68th minute before Marcus Josiah and Tom Driscoll scored in the closing stages to put a gloss on the 4-1 scoreline.

In the First Division, Cornard United were beaten 4-0 by title-chasing Newmarket Town.
