Cutmore and Mumford enjoy strong rides in Cycling Club Sudbury race


Cycling Club Sudbury had 29 riders in action for their club event on the Acton circuit, with junior Molly Cutmore 28-42 and first timer Wayne Mumford 26-08 enjoying strong rides.

The race was won by James Rush 19-20, from Damon Day 19-37 and Rob Davies 20-35.

There was another big personal best by Dave Fenn, 23-17, who currently lies second in the points series, 161, behind Leon West 336 and ahead of tri-athlete Andrew Bigg, 128.

Dave Crisp was in open action on the ten mile TT on the F2D course near Cambridge recording a fine 23-21.

On Bank Holiday Monday the V C Barchi 10 took place and CC Sudbury riders were there in force, John Bradbury 23-06, David Fenn 26-42 equalled PB, and Colin Harris 28-09.

Next week’s club event is on the popular Hitcham Hilly course.
