I agree with last week’s letter (They’ve blown their chances) that this story did not warrant front-page sensationalism.
Great Cornard Middle School had got to the final for the second year running. Well done and congratulations. We are so proud of you all.
They didn’t have any problems the first time at Ipswich Town’s stadium. Usually at these events, the supporters do as much as they can to raise the roof. I remember as an adult having a very sore throat after supporting Sudbury Town versus Tamworth in the FA Vase at Wembley Stadium on May 6, 1989. We certainly raised the roof.
It was great watching the Olympics – need I say more – seriously, we need to chill out rather than put a grey cloud over their success at getting to their finals.
Plus, this weekend, Great Cornard Middle School celebrated its ruby anniversary. The atmosphere was amazing and the organisation second-to-none. You will be sadly missed when you close this summer.
Thank you for so many wonderful experiences over the years.
