I write on behalf of the Rotary Club of Sudbury to report on the “stroke awareness – know your blood pressure” event the club ran at Sudbury Town Hall on Saturday, May 17.
We checked the blood pressure of 122 people. Seven had high blood pressure and one very low pressure and were advised to see their GP.
A total of 45 had slightly raised levels so were advised to have it checked within the month and 69 had normal pressure.
I would like to thank my fellow Rotarians and everyone else who helped on the day. We collected £127.26 in donations which will be split between the Stroke Association and the New Hope Club.
