I’D like to complain about the article printed in last week’s issue with regards to Cavendish having been without landline and internet for the last six weeks and the headline and quote that Cavendish feels like a third world country.
I am completely horrified and disgusted that this has been said.
When Cavendish is suffering from starvation and dehydration, with no clean water source, no food and its residents are dying from malaria then it could be considered a third world country.
I find it completely degrading to the millions of people currently suffering in third world countries that they could compare their first world problems to a third world country.
Perhaps they should be forced to suffer without clean water to drink and a ready source of food for six weeks and then see how they feel about their internet problems.
