Council ruling ‘breathtaking’

I was deeply saddened by the story of a family being prohibited from placing silk flowers on a grave. The callousness of Chilton Parish Council is breathtaking – I couldn’t imagine that happening here in Glemsford.

Many of us visit graves a long way from home, my previous husband is buried in Brentwood, Essex, 55 miles away. Other family members are buried even further away in East London. Silk flowers are the only alternative to what would otherwise be very neglected-looking graves.
