Belle Vue is ideal for youth centre

FOLLOWING on from John Sayers’ comments in the Free Press (November 10), I concur with his view to a youth centre at Belle Vue House.

Belle Vue House and Park have a history of providing facilities for young people and I can remember going and playing in the park as a young child. Likewise today my grandchildren find the same enjoyment.

It is becoming more and more evident that our young people need somewhere to go during the evenings and weekends.

It is distressing that we have mindless people that find some sort of pleasure in damaging these facilities and causing distress for those who use them. I also feel that the unused part of Belle Vue House is an ideal venue for providing a youth facility for the young people of Sudbury.

I do hope that this is pursued by the town council in liaison with Babergh District Council.
