An Apprentice-style business competition was staged by Gosfield School where they competed against the Tabor Academy and Alec Hunter Academy Schools in Braintree and St Mary’s School for Girls in Colchester.
The day-long event was organised for Year 11 pupils to encourage creativity and enable pupils to demonstrate communication and teamwork skills.
Pupils formed mini marketing consultancies, developing a marketing strategy for a camping-based body and laundry product, pitching their final ideas to a panel of judges.
The winning team was from Tabor Academy. Runners-up was one of the Gosfield teams consisting of Daisy Copping, Sophie Lebecq, Emma Lovegrove and Antonio Tibaldi, helped by their Year 13 mentor Remi De Lausun.
Catherine Redfern, director of studies at Gosfield School, said she hoped it would become an annual event.
