Woman threatened with hammer and screwdriver during robbery of Glemsford home

A woman was threatened at home by two men during a robbery in Glemsford.

The incident took place at a property in Skates Hill on Friday, June 1, at approximately 10.20pm.

A woman awoke to find a man in her bedroom with a hammer.

The offender grabbed the victim by the jaw, then forced her to locate money along with other items.

Another man, with a screwdriver, also threatened her.

Shortly after hearing someone arriving at the property, the offenders fled empty-handed.

The first suspect is described as white, aged between mid-20s to early 30s, 5ft 6in tall, with blue eyes; and spoke with a foreign accent.

He was wearing black trousers, a black top with a hood up and baseball cap. He was also wearing a black and white patterned scarf or bandana on his face.

The second suspect is described as white, aged between mid-20s to early 30s, 5ft 4in tall, with brown eyes.

He was wearing black trousers, a matching black top and scarf or bandana covering his face. He also had a foreign accent.

Anyone who saw the suspects or vehicles leaving the area on Skates Hill at the time of incident should call Suffolk police on 101, quoting crime reference 37/30062/18 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
