Woman allegedly coughs on man in Sudbury after claiming she may have coronavirus




A man was coughed on by a woman following a verbal altercation in Sudbury yesterday, resulting in a police appeal for witnesses.

Police officers were called out at approximately 5.40pm on Wednesday, following a reported assault that took place in Plough Lane.

A spokesman for Suffolk Police said they had received a report that a man and a woman became involved in a verbal disagreement outside a residential property.

The woman is then alleged to have coughed on the man, claiming she potentially had the coronavirus, which caused the man significant distress.
