Witnesses sought after man is hit by car in Sudbury

Police in Sudbury are appealing for witnesses after a collision between two vehicles, following which a man was struck by a car.

At around 9.30am this morning, Monday August 17, a black Mercedes C320 and a silver Vauxhall Corsa were involved in a collision at the roundabout on Northern Road.

The vehicles then continued over the roundabout onto Springlands Way at which point one of the drivers got out of his car and was struck by the other car, resulting in him going onto the bonnet and sustaining a minor knee injury.

The driver then failed to stop but was located by police soon after.

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses who saw the vehicles at any point along Northern Road or Springlands Way either prior to, or at the time of either incident.

Calls should be made to Sgt Gavin Goldfinch at Sudbury Police Station on 101 quoting reference SU/15/1976.
