White Horse pub in Edwardstone kicks off annual Winter Beer Festival

An Edwardstone pub is gearing up for its annual winter beer festival, which kicks off today.

The event at The White Horse in Mill Green runs until Sunday, February 23, with a wide selection of winter beverages being showcased.

It will also include drinks produced by the Little Earth Project, the pub’s on-site micro-brewery, as well as the first-time appearance of a new crop autumn cider, made in neighbouring Groton.

In addition, live music will take place this Saturday, featuring the likes of Jonny Day, and on Saturday, February 22, with a performance from Mc2.

Pub owner John Norton said: “If a walk and a drop of really warming winter ale sitting next to a wood fire in the middle of the Suffolk countryside appeals, then this will be worth a visit.”

The pub is open from 4pm to 10pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, from noon to 10pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and noon to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays. To find out more, call 01787 211211.
