A man charged with the murder of a Suffolk couple has been remanded in custody for a further 28 days, after appearing at Ipswich Crown Court today.

Ali Qazimaj, 43, of no fixed address but formerly from Essex, is accused of killing Peter Stuart, 75, and his wife Sylvia, 69, of Mill Lane, Weybread, near Diss.

Qazimaj, speaking via an interpreter, gave his name as Vital Dapi when he appeared before Judge David Goodin for a preliminary hearing.

Judge Goodin told Qazimaj, who was extradited to the UK from Luxembourg, that he would continue to be remanded in custody until his next court appearance on August 19.
