TRIBUTES have been paid to a “gentle and caring” man, who was found hanged at a Sudbury beauty spot.
Jonathan Burroughs, of St Gregory’s Court, was found hanged at The Weir near Croft Gates last Monday morning. Paramedics were called but were unable to save the 26-year-old, who was pronounced dead at 6.25am.
This week, Jonathan’s devastated parents spoke of the former Great Cornard Upper School student’s friendly nature, describing him as “gentle and caring”.
“We are in deep grief and it is unbearable without him,” said his father David, who runs DB Security Locksmiths in Sudbury, with wife Glynis.
“He had a beautiful smile, a great sense of humour and thought the world of his family.”
