Acton youngster James Goodge can hardly keep the beaming grin off his face as he wanders around his parents’ home in Howe Way.
You would not know it to look at him, but James, three, has not had an easy start in life.
He was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 14 months old and has problems with his mobility and development, meaning he needs lots of care from mum Octavia, dad Anthony and his three siblings.
To help make their lives a little easier, Mr and Mrs Goodge want to build a downstairs bedroom and wet room especially for James.
They have secured up to £30,000 in grants but are between £6,000 and £10,000 short of the total cost of the work.
Today, the Free Press is asking for your help, support and ideas to raise the money James’ family needs. See this week’s Free Press for the full story and call us on 01787 375271 or email email@example.com with your fundraising ideas or call Mr and Mrs Goodge on 01787 580126 to find out how you can help.
