A charity cricket match was held in Leavenheath on Saturday in memory of former village cricketer Richard Wade who died in May 2015.
Mr Wade died aged just 31 and had played for the village team. The match saw a Richard’s XI take on Leavenheath, with the village team coming out victorious.
Most importantly £2,600 was raised for national charity CALM through donations, a raffle, auction and a barbecue.
“It was a great success, people were so generous,” said Richard’s mother Linda. “They want to do it next year”
