Nayland Village Players are in final rehearsals for their latest production, Fire and Ice.
The play is an original musical fantasy written and directed by Christine Hawley and Mandy Cook.
It is set in the village of Snowhaven in the mythical land of Ozonia where humans and animals live together harmoniously and the community is full of colourful characters including penguins, polar bears, reindeer and a moose.
Ozonia’s history is an ongoing battle across the ages with the forces of fire once again threatening to disturb the balance.
The drama plays out with deception and peril and added to the mix are a love story and a surprise ending.
The production has a 44-strong cast and promises enjoyable family entertainment.
Performances are scheduled to take place at Nayland Village Hall tonight and Saturday, with further performances on December 7 and December 8 at 7.30pm. There will be matinees on both Saturdays at 2.30pm.
Tickets are £6 for adults and £5 for children. They are available from Nayland Post Office in the afternoons only or by calling 01206 262808.
