A bungalow in Sudbury was broken into and numerous valuables were stolen last week, resulting in a Suffolk Police appeal for information.

The incident took place on Thursday, June 7, some time between 1.45pm and 3.45pm, when a stone garden ornament was thrown through the rear window pane of a bedroom of a home in Melford Road.

A number of suspects then entered the property and carried out an untidy search of the bedroom, stealing a quantity of jewellery, including rings and necklaces, before they fleeing the scene.

Anybody with information about the incident should contact Bury St Edmunds CID by calling 101, quoting the crime reference number 37/31179/18.

Alternatively, get in touch with Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
