Two men arrested after knife seen in Clare

TWO men were arrested after being spotted with a knife in Clare last night.

A 35-year-old man from the area and a 20-year-old man from Bury St Edmunds were arrested after being seen arguing in a alleyway near the town’s Co-op store in Market Hill at around 11pm yesterday.

Police had received reports that the pair had a knife with them and they were both arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and affray.

They were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning, were they are currently being held in custody.
