A barn fire in Great Cornard on Saturday morning left two people with minor burn injuries.

Two engines from Sudbury were sent to the scene at Joes Road at around midnight.

On arrival, firefighters used two hose reels and thermal imaging cameras to put out three separate seats of fire within the 30 metre by 15 metre barn.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police said: “Police have a full account of what happened at the scene and there will be no criminal charges.”

The fire had originally been investigated as a possible arson attack.
