Staff at a Semer-based company collectively walked 300 miles in support of the NSPCC.

Trident Marketing donated £125 towards the charity’s school service, Speak Out and Stay Safe, which teaches primary school children about the dangers of abuse.

Its employees then raised an additional £300 by walking or running a mile on their lunch breaks, with each mile completed adding £1 to the donations total.

Victoria Beswick, managing director of Trident, said: “We always try to support as much charity work as possible. Rather than just sending a cheque, we set the staff a challenge.”
