Trial of clergyman delayed until June
The trial of the Rural Dean of Clare has been delayed by a month.
Ian Finn, 55, has pleaded not guilty to an offence of fraud by abuse of position.
The charge relates to the alleged loss of £13,204 from fees paid for church services between 2007 and 2014 by false accounting.
His trial had been due to take place at Ipswich Crown Court in May but, on Tuesday, following an application from the Crown Prosecution Service, Judge David Goodin agreed to move the trial date to June 1. Finn is currently on unconditional bail.
