A Stanstead man is to stand trial accused of stealing a cheque book and using it fraudulently.

Mark Parker, 23, of Coltsfield, appeared at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday when he denied a charge of theft between July 17 and August 29.

He also denied four offences of fraud by false representation.

Parker was granted bail until his trial, which is due to take place in August.
