Tree festival set to return

THE popular Sudbury Christmas Tree Festival will be held at St Peter’s from December 7 to 11 and the deadline for entries is October 28.

Organised by the town’s two Rotary Clubs, this is the eighth year of the festival and more than 100 invitations have been sent out to past exhibitors.

Proceeds from this year’s festival will be going to the Friends of St Peter, Sudbury Royal British Legion for the personnel rehabilitation centre in Colchester, and other good causes in the local community chosen by Sudbury Rotary and Sudbury Talbot Rotary clubs.

Anyone who is interested in decorating a tree for the festival can get a booking form from the Tourist Information Centre in Gaol Lane, or by emailing

This year’s festival will be open from 10am to 7pm from December 7 to 10 and from 10am to 6pm on December 11.

Admission is £1 with under 12s getting in free.
