MORE than 400 people took the opportunity to marvel at vintage vehicles when Yeldham Transport Museum opened it doors to visitors.
The museum ran its first open days of the year last weekend, with families and transport enthusiasts marvelling at the sight of trains and buses consigned to the pages of history.
As well as a collection of vintage vehicles, the museum also provided regular open top bus tours to Halstead and back.
John Russell, who owns the site where the museum is based, said: “We were very surprised by the number of people who came along.
“We wanted to let everyone know that we are here and we had lots of families.
“It was a very successful weekend and the open top tours were certainly the highlight for many.”
