Tragic Sudbury motorcyclist named

A SUDBURY man, who died after the motorbike he was riding was involved in a crash with a van, has been named.

David Burwash, from the town, was killed when his yellow motorbike was in collision with a white van on the B1061 Thurlow Road in Great Wratting at around 5.15pm on Tuesday.

Paramedics from the East Anglian Air Ambulance attempted to treat the 50-year-old, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following the crash, the road was closed and diversions put in place as emergency services dealt with the scene and a collision investigation was launched.
